Michael O'Sullivan Washington Post "D-Day" contains an important history lesson, to be sure. But it also means to be a kind of memorial. May 22, 2014 Full Review Soren Andersen Seattle Times The use of 3-D and other up-to-the-minute techniques to tell this often-told story make this "D-Day" a riveting and informative film experience. Rated: 3/4 Mar 30, 2014 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy A decent primer for those interested in history. Rated: 3/4 May 16, 2020 Full Review Janet Smith Georgia Straight Few films have detailed the logistics behind the complex, elaborately plotted-out mission better than this. Nov 12, 2015 Full Review Linda Cook Quad City Times (Davenport, IA) Beautifully illustrated, solidly researched and smartly presented, 'D-Day: Normandy 1944' is a terrific movie about a terrible time. Rated: 4/4 Jun 10, 2015 Full Review Lawrence Toppman Charlotte Observer The real strength of this movie is that it shows the massive scope of the triumph while retaining an intimate sense of the sacrifices it demanded. Audience Member Well done as they brought to life the horrors of WWII and the hard bought battles that these men & women endured as everyday was a survival for them and the real life veterans telling the stories of each battle Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member You'll feel a catch on your throat... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent documentary. If you would like your children to understand the importance of D-day, but without the psychological scars of most war movies, this is the one. The film illustrates (literally) military strategy and movements, with sketches and moving maps, but keeps your attention. I highly recommend everyone see it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Of all the Imax films that I've seen, this one was the least interesting. The visuals were fair and they included too many "sand drawings" and the 3D pop up book made me feel like an elementary school student. I thought thought that they really missed the mark on this one. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The 3D didn't enhance the film at all. I thought the story was bland and boring which didn't do much to keep the audience involved. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent, not outstanding. Saw it in IMAX in DC. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews
