Thanks to ample support from its lead actors, debutant director Ganesh K Babu’s film about a single father and a fractured relationship turns out to be a wholesome entertainer despite few missteps. Go to Full Review

The long-winded and sappy drama Dada is supposed to be about a single father being the only caretaker for his son for the first four years of the son's life. But the movie spends too much time showing his job problems and not enough father-son bonding. Go to Full Review

Pratham K 02/20/2024 Nice Movie and excellent leads See more Priyan B 12/28/2023 Heart warming drama. 8/10 See more Views Of C 08/29/2023 Dada - 10/10. Sometimes tamil cinema does a really good job of evoking emotions in a natural way, apart from usual melodrama. This is one of those cases where the movie makes you feel the plight, emotions, and situation the main character is going through. A young man gets his girlfriend pregnant, which causes them to be ostracized from their respective parents. In the process, they both have to live in hardship, as they struggle to make ends meet and create a life together. But after the pregnancy, the young man is left with the child, with the parents of the young woman taking her away. How he raises this boy, changes his life, and tries to move forward forms the story. To be honest, there are flaws here. The unneeded song near the end, the comedic sequences with the office people, and some portions don't seem necessary, but I get why they are in the movie. When this movie focuses on the performances and story (and what brilliant performances from Kavin and Aparna Das) its superb. And it makes you understand that parents do go through a lot, and that behind every great person is parents who did all they could to give them the life they deserve! See more Read all reviews
