      Critics Consensus

Energetic enough to be diverting but too mediocre to be memorable, Dangerous Lies feigns erotic thrills without ever really working up a sweat.

Betsy H I literally couldn't SEE anyone. Bad lighting through all the important parts. Couldn't even see the dead body which was lowkey important. What the hell? Trying so hard to be edgy. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/24/23 Full Review R C I literally watched this between browsing my email and Twitter feed, so yes it passed the time. If you want to get frustrated at characters for poor choices, this is the flick for you! Only reason to watch is Camille Mendes. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/12/23 Full Review Ming A bone-chilling horror film that will leave you with goosebumps, nightmares, and a lingering sense of dread. With its tense atmosphere, terrifying jump scares, and haunting soundtrack, this movie is not for the faint of heart. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/09/23 Full Review Isabelle A mature writing at best. There was no thought put into the plot and it was just to predictable. It is certainly not a film to watch for people who have a profound love of murder mysteries. Not suspenseful and the ending was lazy and predictable, there were so many better ways to end it…. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/04/23 Full Review Ceta P Great movie, A tense and powerful thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat with its gripping story and excellent performanc Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/19/23 Full Review Audience Member It's EPIC! Watched it because a friend recommended me this. Totally loved it. I dunno why it has such low ratings, it's actually good. A bit slow but it gives its own kinda fun Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Karen Han Polygon The pleasure of Dangerous Lies isn't finding out whodunit, but simply yelling, "What?" at your screen as increasingly unbelievable twists play out. May 1, 2020 Full Review Perri Nemiroff Perri Nemiroff (YouTube) A lot of it is very heavy on the melodrama, but worst of all here is that when you finally do get the answer in the end, it lands with a huge thud. Rated: 2.5/5 May 1, 2020 Full Review Nick Allen RogerEbert.com It might be kind of tedious, kind of sloppy, and mostly silly, but you could never accuse Dangerous Lies of false advertising. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 30, 2020 Full Review Charles Hartford But Why Tho? A Geek Community So while Dangerous Lies doesn’t really fail at doing much of what it tries to do, it never really succeeds either. It delivers a story, with some solid twists, and some decent performances that never truly grows beyond the mediocre. Rated: 5/10 Jan 17, 2023 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies It all makes for a movie that is just engaging enough to keep you watching. It still can’t avoid all of the pitfalls that come with movies like this, but it does give a good effort. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 20, 2022 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix The actors in Dangerous Lies don't do a particularly outstanding job in their roles, but no one is outright horrible either. It's the kind of made-for-TV movie that someone can watch to pass the time, but it won't leave much of a lasting impression. Jul 16, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
