Critics Consensus

Energetic enough to be diverting but too mediocre to be memorable, Dangerous Lies feigns erotic thrills without ever really working up a sweat.

The pleasure of Dangerous Lies isn't finding out whodunit, but simply yelling, "What?" at your screen as increasingly unbelievable twists play out. Go to Full Review

It might be kind of tedious, kind of sloppy, and mostly silly, but you could never accuse Dangerous Lies of false advertising. Go to Full Review

So while Dangerous Lies doesn’t really fail at doing much of what it tries to do, it never really succeeds either. It delivers a story, with some solid twists, and some decent performances that never truly grows beyond the mediocre. Go to Full Review

It all makes for a movie that is just engaging enough to keep you watching. It still can’t avoid all of the pitfalls that come with movies like this, but it does give a good effort. Go to Full Review

The actors in Dangerous Lies don't do a particularly outstanding job in their roles, but no one is outright horrible either. It's the kind of made-for-TV movie that someone can watch to pass the time, but it won't leave much of a lasting impression. Go to Full Review

Grayson S Feb 27 Such a ridiculous story. The start is not bad but it gets progressively worse See more Matthew D @OceanSage Dec 31 This has the worst script with the most obvious mystery reveal ever. You can guess all the twists within the first 30 minutes. The acting is really flat and embarrassing too. They also hilariously try to pass off Vancouver, Canada as Chicago, Illinois. Watched it because a friend recommended me this. Totally loved it. I dunno why it has such low ratings, it's actually good. A bit slow but it gives its own kinda fun See more 10/03/2021 really cool & interesting See more Read all reviews
