Audience Member A couple of weeks ago, I watched the Full Moon remix movie The Haunted Dollhouse, which had a chapter entitled "Worry Dolls." That was really this movie and somehow, Charles Band directed a movie that was at once a movie about killer dolls and a women in prison movie. If he'd somehow had the prison be in his Italian castle, this would have really been the most Full Moon of all Full Moon movies. Somehow, this movie also has two more titles, Dangerous Chucky Dolls or Parasite Dolls. No matter the title you see it under, it's about Eva, who is abused by everyone in the prison, including a — spoiler — trans guard who forces her to participate in webcam sex to make more money for the warden. One night, she lies down and her worry doll climbs inside her ear and learns how to walk out of the hole in her forehead when it isn't taking over her brain. This feels like one of the more transgressive Full Moon features I've seen in a while, as there aren't many killer doll WIP movies that have the heroine peg the evil guard. This was shot in the same place that they made Reform School Girls and it is in no way as great as that movie. But come on. You knew that. Rated 2/5 Stars •  Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Charles Band set a little late to the game to be making a women-in-prison film, even with his addition of horror elements. Not that the 1970s women-in-prison films were big budget affairs, but this film seemed cheap by even Charles Band/Full Moon Pictures standards. The story here is a standard prison story of a good girl sent to prison for a minor offense and then wishing on some South American worry dolls to help her with the evil guards, prison warden, and other prisoners. From their, the dolls crawl into her ear at night and possess her with powers to exact her revenge. Band seems to love movies about deadly little creatures (i.e. Puppet Master, Demonic Toys, Dolls, Dollman, Shrunken Heads, etc.), but this film seemed nowhere as enjoyable as those. Not recommended for even Full Moon Pictures fans, even for the Richard Band theme music or for the enjoyable cheesy special effects (which there were not enough of). Rated 1/5 Stars •  Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Dangerous Worry Dolls is a delightfully demented horror film about a woman locked up in prison who receives worry dolls from her daughter that turn out to be evil, but they help her get back at the people who have abused her in prison. It's a twisted, gruesome, surprising, and fun little horror film that I think is quite underrated. If you enjoyed the Puppet Master films, you will probably like this film because it is from the same studio and made by the creator of that series. It's pure fun to watch. Rated 4.5/5 Stars •  Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member The reformed Full Moon Pictures finally delivers a decent film worthy of it's B-budget, exploitive and cheesy (all in a good way) reputation. A daughter gives her incarcerated mother (the extremely hot Jessica Morris of One Life To Live) a set of worry dolls and the next day finds she has more than enough power to put her tormentors in their place. Not a masterpiece but enjoyable enough for fans of director/producer Charles Band. Although the story isn't too bad, it's a bit dull at some points and rather disturbing. There's a lot of plot holes and the credits run extra slow.
