Pat M Great story! It's nice to see a real story about people who do good and get good. And are good people. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/24 Full Review Crystal I see this as a must see due to the real life woman his movie was based on… & it's pretty neat that she currently offers how to build your own Arc consultations … there was a good quote in this movie I heard that really resonates " Man is nature, nature man - one and the same" Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/29/23 Full Review Audience Member A delightful romantic film and an effortless watch. If you're Irish and love nature, you will adore this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review cees t Pretty movie with some tacked-on drama. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I've seen this movie twice on netflix. As a landscape designer, it has special appeal. Outside of that, it's a sweet story based on real events, and the real Mary Reynolds is now an internationally renowned garden designer! It's message of forest conservation and forest gardens is an important one! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a nice story and concept and the lead actress is good, but the desperation she portraits was hard to watch. It's hard to watch the male lead treat her so poorly for so long and have her still fall all over herself for him. It's a terrible example for young women to see in a film and if it is accurately based on the original person then he's a terrible human being in real life. It also doesn't help that the actor playing him in the movie comes across, himself as an actor, as being pretentious, which makes you despise the character even more. His exceptionally smug look was very hard to watch. This movie also starting out way too rushed and lacked a lot of character development. It was really hard to watch. Wendy Ide Observer (UK) It's a herbaceous bore of a movie which trades in twee Oirish cliches and features a male romantic lead who has all the charisma of a shrub. Rated: 1/5 Sep 25, 2016 Full Review Donald Clarke Irish Times This is film in which, to confirm the Chelsea administrator's Englishness, the great Alex Macqueen is asked to do calisthenics to Rule Britannia. Rated: 2/5 Sep 23, 2016 Full Review Kate Muir Times (UK) The film version is pure Mills and Boon coupled with Grand Designs, even down to signs that say "20 days to Chelsea build" as the clock ticks. Rated: 2/5 Sep 23, 2016 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Even with a few corny plot points, this is a beautifully made, thoroughly involving movie that might help change the way you think about nature. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 6, 2017 Full Review Cathy Butler Film Ireland Magazine Dare to be Wild is a visual feast, but perhaps a bit too epic for this viewer. Oct 5, 2016 Full Review Hilary A White Sunday Independent (Ireland) These fairytale flourishes, a superb soundtrack and a potent environmental message are the film's finer qualities and source of its undeniable charm.
