Andy Webster New York Times Overabundant diffuse lighting and wide-angle perspectives only compound this horror movie's deficiencies in plot and dialogue. Jul 30, 2015 Full Review Bill Goodykoontz Arizona Republic Ugly, absurd, mean-spirited, nonsensical - shall we continue? Rated: 1/5 Jul 16, 2015 Full Review Jordan Hoffman Guardian Dark Awakening is bargain-bin cinema from the very first frame: its opening credits looking like a television movie from 25 years ago. Audience Member I regretted this as soon as I watched the opening credits. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member horrible movie. save your money. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member The reason I went to see it is because it was filmed in my town and surrounding area. I wasn't expecting much and didn't receive much. Half way through I was thinking that we could have put together just as good of a movie as a high school English project. Of all the things wrong with the film amateurish is the first thing that comes to mind. The fact that there were exactly zero scares makes you glad you only wasted an hour and a half of your time. If it was longer I would have thought about digging up that gun in the basement. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
