01/27/2020 this movie is really good to make fun of with friends See more 10/26/2019 Imagine you're watching a movie where people are watching a campy 80's slasher movie about a bunch of teenagers making bad choices and then getting killed. This movie is that movie! (The one they're watching in the movie.) It even had an awesome 80's score. The only thing is these characters have cell phones. And there's not gratuitous nudity. See more 10/20/2019 Dark Forest is a horror/slasher film that is about a group of friends who go on a camping trip that goes horribly wrong. It reminds me of horror films from the '80s. It doesn't take itself too seriously and pays tribute to the old films with promiscuous couples and gnarly over-the-top kills. Fun movie in the genre. See more 02/12/2019 Dark Forest is a slasher flick about a group of friends who go on a camping trip deep in the woods when one by one they start getting killed. The film is definitely a throwback to old school horror movies and I appreciated little stylistic choices like having a grainy film stock look to emulate those films of the 70s and 80s. Dark Forest is an indie horror film and, being that it is an homage to those older horror films, is full of promiscuous young couples, bikini clad women, and over-the-top bloody kills. I had a lot of fun watching this film and I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates a throwback indie horror movie. See more 08/17/2018 This is psycho and horror at the same time. All actors did good job. The message is simple: you are not safe. You never know what your friend can do, because, looks can be deceiving. He or she can look like an average person, but in fact he is a serial killer. The style of the movie reminded me Friday the 13th. See more Read all reviews
