Eddie Garrick (Chris "Ludacris" Bridges) is a good-hearted man who has turned his back on Christmas due to a traumatic childhood experience. At the request of his wife Allison Garrick (Teyonah Parris), from whom he is separated, Eddie takes his 9-year-old daughter Charlotte (Madison Skye Validum) to work with him on Christmas Eve, where they meet a mysterious man in a red suit named Nick (Lil Rel Howery). Eddie, who is a social worker, thinks the man is delusional and needs professional help, but when he evokes the wrath of a local politician (Oscar Nuñez), he and his daughter are taken on a magical adventure that just might restore his faith in Christmas.

Director Tim Story and screenwriter Scott Rosenberg keep this one peppy and fun throughout, but it is the pairing of Howery and Bridges as a griping holiday naysayer that really make it jingle all the way.

I was all set to laugh my way to the end. Unfortunately, whoever decided this film needs to feel, look, and have the quality of a ‘90s feel-good twee Christmas film for kids did this film, and its cast, a huge disservice.

**2.5/5 Stars** *Dashing Through the Snow* is exactly what I thought it’d be: a predictable but entertaining Christmas flick. I went in with low expectations, and it pretty much delivered on that level. Ludacris is okay, but let’s be real—acting isn’t his strong suit. I was actually worried about Lil Rel playing Santa, but he ended up being the highlight. He’s funny, charming, and brought some much-needed energy to the whole thing. The villains, though? Total flop. Their plotline was so basic and predictable it felt like they just threw it in to fill time. On the plus side, the movie has a great soundtrack that sets the holiday mood perfectly. It’s not a game-changer or even close to the best Christmas movie out there, but I wasn’t bored. If you like cheesy holiday fun and don’t mind some flaws, it’s worth a casual watch.

This is a warm and funny comedy full of holiday cheer. My favorite character was Nick (Santa), the actor was convincing. It's a must see for the family during the holidays. 🎅🏾
