Russell H Not bad for what it is. Some outdated comedy made me giggle. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/05/23 Full Review Liam D Just about as cheesy as Disney's 50s version of Davy Crockett but it's fun and the finale is actually pretty good Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/20/21 Full Review Audience Member This is a compilation film of footage from the television series and it felt like it. The "acts" were very episodic as they progressed through the life of Davy Crockett. This did drag on a little and could have been better edited, or refilmed and made a better movie. Fess Parker and Buddy Ebsen do create likable characters that fit into the 1950's style western television show really well. If that is your thing then check it out. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review joey v Classic movie and great tribute to the one and only king of the wild frontier! The action is impressive for something that was made in the 1950s would have been cool to see Davy wrestle a bear but this was before anamatronics so I can't really hold that against them Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member About 25% of this movie is interesting, the other 75% is boring. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/07/21 Full Review robert m Billy Bob Thornton in the 2004 Alamo movie provides the best portrayal of David Crockett. John Wayne is a disaster. However, Fess Parker is still notable. Listen to Congressman Crockett's speech about the Indian Removal Act. Sad to say, it didn't stop one of the great tragedies in American history.
