Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times Replete with superior acting and visual splendor, the film is a fine instance of the overly familiar made fresh. Rated: 4/5 Oct 21, 2011 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times An unusually delicate psychological thriller that favors suggestion over exposition. Rated: 3/5 Jul 14, 2011 Full Review Eric Kohn indieWire Barker's screenplay demonstrates a conviction that its genre can command great importance, allowing it to transcend the easy shocks associated with the exploitation movie experience and create an entirely fresh rhythm. Rated: B Jul 14, 2011 Full Review Scott Weinberg TheHorrorShow It's actually got a novel idea, a handful of legitimately creepy moments, and an admirable sense of Twilight Zone-style madness Aug 24, 2015 Full Review Mike Scott Times-Picayune An icy and humorless -- but entirely suspenseful -- film that works mostly because of its unpredictability. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 12, 2011 Full Review Matthew Nestel Boxoffice Magazine Daylight is a caper full of lechery and unforced twists with strong characters and no pretense. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 22, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member This director has potential. A decent storyline, lots of suspense, and great character development. However, your audience needs to have "take away", i.e. there must be some resolution in the movie, it can't just end. That's not a "new idea in movies", it's part of telling a story since time eternal. Work on it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I struggled to empathize with the characters and story line. It was a little slow pace and I didn't see the connection that was building between the scenes. Eh. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Husband's Character should have been developed more into the movie. Other than that it was very good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw Daylight a couple months ago. For me, it is a great psychological thriller movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A yawn of a movie that does nothing special with this always promising premise. The Stallone "Daylight" movie is more entertaining. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Starts as potentially interesting but devolves into cliche at the halfway point.
