nick s The Hell of 63, also called Ice Storm, is a story about participants in the famous eleven city iceskating tour in The Netherlands. Their goal is not to win, but to attain the illustrious participation medal. This can only be done by getting a stamp in each city they pass through. However, severe weather stops the tour early and threatens their ability to complete. The director leans heavily on melodrama, which detracts a bit from the main theme. Every character seems to have some dramatic life event going on in the background that is more important than the tour itself. But still, the acting is pretty good (de Jong casts a lot of his preferred actors) and the camera work is up to scratch. Definitely worth a watch.
