Brian Tallerico UGO Rated: 1/5 Mar 24, 2007 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews It's clear immediately that Dead Bang, written by Robert Foster and directed by John Frankenheimer, isn't looking to reinvent the wheel in terms of its narrative... Most memorable for a scene where Don Johnson's hungover cop pukes on a suspect. Rated: 6/10 Mar 5, 2006 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Rated: 2/5 Aug 9, 2005 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Such an underrated film. Johnsons charisma is off the chart here. But this film is well written. The action scenes and sequences are great. This is an underrated classic. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/24 Full Review Steve D Johnson makes this clunky action flick work just well enough. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Fabulous movie. One of my all-time favorites. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this movie, it had a real feeling of nothing to lose for the lead character. Of course there were parts that weren’t the best, but there are parts that are absolutely gratifyingly in your face. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/27/19 Full Review Audience Member An under rated gem from Frankenheimer. Johnson is unbelievable in this and is in nearly every single scene. Forsythe is reliable as always and a text book twitch off Miller. My only critique would be Johnson's alcoholic cop who doesn't actually drink much throughout. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't really understand the bad reputation this film has. It's a serviceable cop film. It's not an outstanding piece of work, and Frankenheimer has certainly done better (and worse) than this, but Johnson is really quite good as your standard maverick cop character and the plot is engaging. Any cop film where your hungover lead cop throws up on a suspect is at least worth a look ... it's more interesting than any of the "Lethal Weapon" sequels.
