Jill (Ruby Modine) wakes up from a blackout night of drinking and partying to find herself covered in blood with a dead man in her bed. Hungry, hungover, horrified, and possibly a murderer, she scrambles to clean up before her roommate Sarah (Suzann Toni) notices. When her best friend Lia (Mikaela Hoover) arrives (half-concerned, half-annoyed) she reluctantly agrees to help Jill figure out what happened... but only under one condition: they have to make it to brunch before 3:00 p.m. What starts as a frantic cleanup spirals into a blood-soaked comedy of errors involving mistaken identities, suspicious visitors, and a very inconvenient corpse. Between hiding bodies, dodging questions, and trying to keep their mimosas on schedule, Jill and Lia stumble through a hangover-fueled nightmare where every fix only makes things worse and survival means getting through the day without killing each other (or anyone else).

The film ultimately becomes a genuine, if preposterous, murder mystery, leading to a conclusion that makes sense according to the leads’ ridiculous worldview, and the result is good fun overall. Go to Full Review

A biting mystery of a comedy that continually elevates beyond its premise due to the winning dynamic of leads Ruby Modine and Mikaela Hoover. Go to Full Review

Despite the grisly premise, Dead Giveaway is a raucous comedy of errors that builds to an exciting, if not over-the-top, reveal. Anchored by fantastic chemistry between Modine and Hoover, the film is a delight. Go to Full Review
