V.A. Musetto New York Post Rated: 3.5/4 Apr 9, 2005 Full Review Tim Brayton Alternate Ending More about the sprawling way a film gets us to its final word than it what it actually says there. Rated: 4/5 Mar 18, 2022 Full Review Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse "Dead or Alive 2: Birds" is the most "tame" part of the trilogy, but also a film that highlights Miike's ability to direct (or include elements of if you prefer) movies that are not based on violence or the extreme Dec 1, 2019 Full Review Ed Travis Cinapse It's very different than the first film, and elevates the concept of the series substantially. It's also genuinely touching, with Miike exploring the purity of childhood and the depravity of adulthood. camille l On pensait Dead or Alive : Hanzaisha intouchable, voilà que Miike Takashi le fait suivre avec l'excellent Dead or Alive 2 : Tobosha. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It a Crazy-Crime Film about a Two Killer and Two Boy of "Friends" and the Crazy - Something it Awesome Adinaline Gangster Film and The Ending is So Cool and Crazy Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Borderline incoherent. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member A bit more twisted than the first, but not quite as good I don't think. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member a crime film that focuses more on the personal side of the hit-man, of innocence shattered, and the possibility for redemption--Miike has done it again!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a much more sentimental film than the original, and the lack of action ended up being something that I found a little distracting, resulting in a lower rating. The leads are back from the first film in different roles and it's interesting to see them interact in new and different ways, especially as they have soem 'down time' to reminisce about their shared youth. Good stuff, well worth a look. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
