John M Ending was weak. Needed closure on multiple story lines. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/05/24 Full Review Larry L This is a really good movie I can't believe that everybody gave us such a bad rating. Good story great acting what more could you want. Must see in my opinion Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/04/24 Full Review Audience Member I remember watching this over 10 years ago and thinking it was just alright Studio Canal and Magnolia Pictures present Eric Bana, Olivia Wilde, Kris Kristofferson, Charlie Hunnam, Treat Williams, Kate Mara, and Sissy Spacek directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky Two bank robbers, a brother and sister, Addison and Liza getaway with a big score A briefcase full of casino cash but a car crash has them stranded in the open snow-filled countryside They separate to make it avoiding the authorities; Addison invades a couple's home and Liza falls for a boxer, Jay that picks her up while driving home for Thanksgiving being released from prison It's only a matter of time before the police track them down I like the cast in here and much of the movie's setting You really do feel the blistering cold of the harsh weather conditions from the snow to the blizzardy winds, it feels very searing much like these people's lives This is snow-filed neo noir meets dysfunctional family drama with being much more violent than I remember You do admire and loath Addison as this kind of villain and Liza is a sympathetic kind of femme fatale being confused about her motivations of where they stand while falling in love This is a forgettable viewing with some thinnish characterization but manages to be a good late night time killer, it's all about setting expectations Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/23 Full Review Kimberly E Should be called "DEADFUL." I only had to endure 30min. PHEW! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/19/23 Full Review Temple s So Good! Absolute Must See! Just wish it didn't end so abruptly. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/08/23 Full Review Emilliano S Sometimes we need a simple story to create an intense, satisfying action thriller. Larushka Ivan-Zadeh metro.co.uk If the destination proves less intriguing than its various journeys promise, it's still the kind of craftily assembled, generally watchable B-movie that might merit a gamble. Rated: 3/5 Sep 5, 2017 Full Review Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard You can't help thinking how good the Coen brothers' Fargo was in comparison. Rated: 2/5 May 10, 2013 Full Review Donald Clarke Irish Times Big fleecy hats with earflaps are doffed to most of the actors. But, with this script, Deadfall was always destined to be a whiteout. Rated: 2/5 May 10, 2013 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See The bleak, raw landscape is a great setting for a hard-boiled crime tale full of desolate characters wandering on intersecting paths. Rated: C Jul 18, 2020 Full Review Kelly Jane Torrance Washington Examiner This is a gruesome film, though it is lightened by the force of its talent. Rated: 2.5/4 Dec 18, 2018 Full Review Matthew Bond The Mail on Sunday (UK) As thrillers go, this is clumsy, cliche-ridden old stuff. Rated: 2/5 Oct 31, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews
