Christy D The absolute WORST acting I’ve ever seen. The actress who played the daughter Jenni is awful. The way she talks made me have to turn it off half way through. She talks like she’s stoned. Her acting is just bad. I’ve seen better acting in grade school plays. Then there’s the guy who kills the mom, another HORRIBLE, unbelievable actor. Where did they find these people ? JUST NO!!!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/18/25 Full Review Joy B I suffered through to the end, but I don’t recommend it. Frequently, Izanellah Diez’s speech was like fingernails scratching a chalkboard. You just wanted it to stop. Her scenes I enjoyed the most were the ones where she did not speak. For example, in the mall with her father‘s girlfriend, which is when her acting was better as she engaged with the other actress. Prior to making this post, I researched to see if this actress had a hearing deficit or a record of any speech issues online, but I could not find it. My impression is that she may have had some speech therapy, but her speech has not been brought to a level like someone who never required speech therapy. When I listened to some of the words that were not pronounced correctly, and tried to replicate the sound myself, I found that the position of the tip of the tongue was not in the correct position of the hard palate. In my experience, this happens with people who may have been born hard of hearing or who needed speech therapy or were foreign born, and still have not gotten the tongue positioned correctly for English. Regardless of etiology, clear speech is imperative in a movie. Lastly, the actors need to convey behaviorally what the character is experiencing and feeling. Other than the mall scene, I can’t think of a moment in the movie where Ms. Diez’s acting hooked me into her character’s part of the story. The few enjoyable dialogs were in scenes that included Will Roberts or Skylar Witte. In addition, there were times, things seemed disjointed in conversations - script, directing and or editing. I am not an expert but to me the scene where he is “chasing” after an actress is awkward - he was too slow, she lagged in leaving, there were too many stairs. Seemed to be staged to prolong the movie, instead of a brief encounter at the car. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/08/25 Full Review David K I feel kind of bad because she’s so young, but the lead teenager’s acting is quite possibly the worst I’ve ever seen. Sadly, unwatchable. Definitely not worth 90 minutes of your time. Hopefully she gets better as she ages or finds a completely different occupation all together. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/08/25 Full Review Audience Member This is one of the worst acting I have ever witness even for Lifetime Movies! The protagonist, ‎"Jenny" played by Izabellah Diez performance was so underwhelming and robotic. Her speech sometimes sounded like she was drinking, slurring and unclear! It was like watching a student reading a script for a high school play. Just so painful that I couldn't continue to watch... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/23/24 Full Review Me, Myself & Whatever you do, don’t waste a second of your life on this disaster. Calling it a "movie" feels generous—it’s more like a painfully awkward, low-energy table read that somehow got filmed. And then there’s Izabellah Diez in the so-called lead role. Where do I even begin? Her performance is a masterclass in how not to act. If she has dreams of an acting career, anyone who cares about her should gently but firmly suggest a different path—any path that doesn’t involve a camera. Her cringeworthy, lifeless delivery was so unbearable, I couldn’t make it past the first 10 minutes. Honestly, even watching the opening credits felt like a waste of time. Spare yourself the misery and skip this trainwreck entirely. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/14/24 Full Review LLM L So so bad. The daughter is hard to understand. She slurs her words. The acting is hysterically bad by the entire cast. I cannot continue watching. I think the daughter is medicated . Too hard to watch. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/08/24 Full Review Read all reviews
