Audience Member One of the better killer insect movies of the 20th century. Great casting in this movie really make it even better. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member oh no!!! Not the bees! 2/5 Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Back in 1995, there was some kind of "killer bee" hysteria, I vaguely remember it; Clinton was in office and the American people were afraid of bees, a sign of the socio-political state, but I digress. It's about a small town that is dealing with a swarm of angry bees, and thus how they deal wth the bees, in every single way you can see coming. This film is terrible, I won't lie to you. It' is predictable, poorly acted, and poorly edited. From a "scientist" trying to make a bee sting sound scary ("Thats's what you mean when you say one little sting") to teenage badboy Ryan Phillipe saving the day because he smokes. The highlights were the special effects being non-existant, so while people are getting mauled by bees, it looks more like people suffering seiezures all at once.It was still better than "The Skeleton Key" Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I hate bees so it figures that I would hate a film about bees. It's about 14/15 years since I watched this so perhaps my memory is blurred. I remember something about a gun shot (or maybe a motorbike) disturbing a hive so naturally the hive attacks the nearest house with anger and strike fear into the hearts of the owners. It's worth avoiding. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member really, it's every small town attacked by ravenous (insert animal/insect here) movie...but with robert hays! sadly, they are not giant mutant bees.
