Audience Member This is actually a fun movie to watch. I love big bug movies but nowadays the CGI looks crap. However in this film the CGI looks very good. Good to see that J.R. Bookwalter returns after his own zombie epic Dead Next Door which I also loved, with this homage to the old classic nature goes giant movies like Tarantula, Them and The Black Scorpion. The acting may not be that good but mind you even some of the acting wasn't that good in the 50's,60's, 70's etc. besides these films weren't serious and it was more about having fun with them. There are a few laughs in this like shoving a 6ft scorpion into a 4ft freezer lol. The story could have been better like having a siege in the town with the scorpions but hey maybe they didn't have the budget for it. There is some impressive gore effects in this too. There's lots of claret splashed everywhere and it's a very bloody take on the killer bug genre. Also it's interesting how the remaining survivors kill the scorpions so the film is innovative on that subject. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
