All of the unbelievable aspects of "Dear Santa" would be forgivable if it was just funny or sweet. It's neither. Go to Full Review

If Christmas movies can’t be good, they can usually at least be pleasant distractions. Dear Santa is neither. It’s a regrettable film, one that wasn’t ever worth the wordplay that started it. Go to Full Review

Contrary to popular opinion, Dear Santa rests on Robert Timothy Smith’s shoulders (...) His awkwardness, innocence, and charm feel so organic and honest that it doesn’t look like he is putting on a performance. Go to Full Review

Dear Santa is schmaltzy, dumb, and does nothing to earn its PG-13 rating outside of mild profanity and a couple of poop jokes. Avoid. Go to Full Review

Downriver R @Downriver 2d This ended up being a great movie. I loved it. Make more please. Funny Xmas movie that's new. We all need new Xmas movies. The old stuff is just well OLD. Make more please See more Collette R. @CoReVo 4d Dear Santa completely stole my heart. This movie is everything I want in a holiday film—funny, heartfelt, cozy, and full of that warm Christmas sparkle. Jack Black absolutely shines in this role. He brings the perfect mix of humor, charm, and genuine emotion that makes every scene feel alive. You can tell he had so much fun with it, and it makes the whole movie even better. The story is sweet without being cheesy, and it has those laugh-out-loud moments Jack Black is famous for. The supporting cast is great too, and the whole vibe is festive in the best way. It’s one of those movies you finish and immediately think, “Yep… I’m watching that again.” If you want something that actually feels new but still has that classic Christmas-movie magic, this one is 100% worth watching. I absolutely loved it. 🎄💌✨ See more Jesse T 6d I read a few reviews saying that this movie fell short of teaching a lesson. Why is it the job of film makers to teach us a lesson? This movie had my family and I laughing and entertained throughout. That's the job of a film maker. Entertain. Robert Timothy Smith was so good in this film and stole all the scenes. This isn't one of those movies where Jack Black does all the work. See more 6d I literally made an account JUST to bump the score of this adorable movie. I don't get the hate! This was the best little Christmas laugh I've had in years. The main kid is adorable, Jack Black was his awesome usual self. This was the most entertained I've been in a while and I'm usually not a fan of comedy if any sort. See more Nov 25 I understand most negative reviews. The movie wasn't exactly something that I think anyone will consider a "Holiday Classic", and it did miss a mark quite a few times on actually seeing a lesson or storyline to fruition. However, that aside, I thought Jack Black's portrayal of Satan was great, from the look to the act, exactly what I would want to see. And I will avoid any spoilers, but the ending was worth the pitfalls, as I sat crying. I think people are quick to be harsh on Holiday movies, because it is a big undertaking with high expectations, but I think objectively, it wasn't nearly as bad as most people are saying. See more Danick S Nov 23 Horrible movie. The only reason it gets two stars is Jack Black carrying the movie. Otherwise it'd be a lot lower See more Read all reviews
