Death Valley is never fully disturbing, but enjoyably gross is good enough. Go to Full Review

Death Valley is a generic, action thrusting, testosterone fuelled monster movie which should have been forgotten long ago. Go to Full Review

There are just enough simple pleasures here - including hand-crafted practical effects and a generous amount of gooey kills - to make this a painless watch. Go to Full Review

Surprisingly well-done... Death Valley distinguishes itself from the pack of shoot-our-way-through-a-lab-full-of-monsters subgenre. Go to Full Review

Ninaber plays it safe to make sure he has a viable endeavor, but what he needs is insanity, which "Death Valley" is sorely lacking. Go to Full Review

Logan D Jun 20 Two guns for hire are commisioned to rescue an scientist who is trapped with some sort of creature in an underground bunker. This is very poorly rated on Letterboxd and I'm not sure why. Both my wife and I enjoyed this film. And that's saying something as we disagree on what makes for an enjoyable horror film. It's a simple generic plot but that's what's expected for a popcorn flick. Featuring capable practical effects and good action scenes, it's worth a watch. See more Carlos I May 20 "Death Valley" (2021) delivers a surprisingly effective creature feature experience that punches above its weight. While clearly working with limited resources, the filmmakers manage to evoke a strong "Aliens" vibe with a cool, shadowy monster design that feels impressively realized. The smart choice to keep the creature mostly in the dark amplifies the tension and proves that sometimes, less is truly more in the realm of low-budget horror. See more Laurie S @Karlwinters Feb 23 The aliens are walking human-shaped turds with teeth who multiply by attacking humans from behind and impregnating their rectums. Their seeds intermingle with human waste and this is how reproduction takes place. See more Jason W 08/02/2024 If you are a fan of the Resident Evil style of film, this is right up your alley. Good acting all around, great chemistry between the two main characters. Jeremy Ninaber has natural action star vibes. Excellent practical makeup effects which brought it up a notch as opposed to using the same old monster cgi. Amazing to find out a lot was filmed inside a garage using many of the same set pieces. A true DIY film by Matthew Ninaber. See more Thom G 02/19/2024 The dialogues and characters are so terrible that one wonders if they intended to create a "so bad it's good" movie, but the cheap plot wrapped in an empty action shell made me stop the movie halfway through. See more jeff m 01/24/2023 The writing was like if they had a new writer come in every 15 or so pages but they weren't able to see what the previous writers wrote and just decided to wing it.
