The good news: Despite all the worries that this would be nothing more than an alt-right wet dream in which Bruce Willis guns down scores of blacks and Muslims, the film is actually restrained in such matters. The bad news: It still isn't very good.

A few good additions, like the fact that now the protagonist is a doctor instead of an architect, that made more sense with the entire story. But for the rest, nothing really special in my opinion. It's more gore (more violence), but less sexual than the original. Overall, I didn't feel the need for this remake, personally.

I really liked Eli Roth's remake of "Dying Wish". The plot is very simple, yet it's definitely engaging and Bruce Willis pulls out a final bullet in the chamber for his successful career, with a great performance. Eli Roth hasn't made many "mature" or "serious" films in his career, however this is dark, violent and has tension which literally has left me nail-less. Bruce Willis has charm, and to say he did many cheap movies before his retired, this wasn't one. And could even go down as one of his best movies and performances, (certainly has a right of top 10). Also the REAPER ALERT sound button made me giggle. You can't help but root for a vulnerable dad, doctor whom Willis plays sweetly and I love Eli Roth's blood and gore. He needs more serious film like this with gore and over the top films like his 2023 Horror/Comedy "Thanksgiving ". It's simple, but works so well.

you can't go wrong with bruce willis the movie felt almost rushed in a sense the contrast of saving lives to killing lives happened to quick I get its a movie but its just like a John wick movie from wish still a great watch.
