William Bibbiani TheWrap It’s a playground for the filmmakers and audience alike, a fantastical space where anything can happen, whether it’s silly or badass or both. Oct 10, 2025 Full Review Barry Hertz Globe and Mail There are too many points in Deathstalker where it feels like Kostanski has convinced himself that he’s making an honest-to-goodness epic, a genuine challenger to Conan’s skull-lined throne. Oct 9, 2025 Full Review Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting This remagining veers even harder into silly territory with aplomb, leveraging its rough edges in its favor, and brings tongue-in-cheek personality in spades. Rated: 3/5 Oct 9, 2025 Full Review Chris Sawin Bounding Into Comics Take the fantasy elements of Beastmaster and smash them together with the squeamish fatalities of Mortal Kombat and you’ve got the barbarically potent masterpiece known as Deathstalker. Rated: 4/5 Oct 18, 2025 Full Review Cody Leach Cody Leach (YouTube) Deathstalker feels like something I would have watched in the 90s...and I mean that as a compliment. The throwback nature of the set design and practical puppets bring a nostalgic edge and the blend of fantasy and horror is a lot of fun. Rated: 3/5 Oct 17, 2025 Full Review Joel Copling Spectrum Culture A diverting and admittedly superior reboot that’s nevertheless thoroughly disposable. Oct 13, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

The Maunderer Gory, Classic VFX, Tongue in Cheek Dialogue. A good ole B-Medieval Fantasy movie. A Bloody Fun time with beer! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/13/25 Full Review Kalidor the Konqueror I give it 10/10. I love sword and sorcery films. This paid a nice homage to the original Deathstalker series, the Masters of the Universe, the Army of Darkness, and some others. The film has great practical effects, gore, action, and just enough comedy. Unlike most films of this genre, there is no gratuitous sex or nudity. I drove a 3.5 hour round trip to see a movie with 1 hr 42 min run-time. That's how good it was. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/12/25 Full Review Eric Best movie Ive seen since the Lord of the Rings. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/12/25 Full Review robert l So good. A real love letter to the sword and sorcery films of the 80s. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/12/25 Full Review shayne Great movie that knew exactly what it was. An awesome reboot of a sword and sorcery franchise that didn't fall into the trap of trying to be realistic or gritty. Not a single actor phoned in their performance, you can tell every one of them was having a blast making it. If you like sword and sorcery with awesome soundtracks, you'll love DEATHSTALKER Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/11/25 Full Review Ruben C. This movie pays homage to the 80’s & 90’s era of sword & sorcerer films! It’s fun and the acting delivers what you’d expect for a epic fantasy adventure movie to feel like. All analog effects and creature creations. Lots of muppets and spray foam glob creatures. All fun and all good vibes. I wanted it to have a post credit scene or something to elude there’d be another movie down the road. Bad song for the credits, makes it unbearable to stay while it hurts your ears (my only complaint). Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/12/25 Full Review Read all reviews
