I got in the mail a movie called; "Deep in the Heart (of Texas). I must admit, I didn't get all of this. I kind of think that only people who are native to Texas will possible get this film. I wasn't impressed. There were some funny moments but not enough. The key reason I rented this movie is because of this actor named John Hawkes (he plays Sol Star on Deadwood). I didn’t think I saw him any thing else (little did I know he’s been a lot of movies I’ve seen), so I rented this movie. He was the best thing that happened in this whole crummy movie and he only had a very little part. The cast was okay (nothing to write home about) but the writing couldn't carry the movie. "Deep in the Heart (of Texas) is about this couple who are making this documentary for the English BBS (what does that sound like). As the couple goes through the trials and tribulations of filming this documentary they realize they have issues of their own. In order to finish this documentary they have to get over their relationship problems. I'm sorry maybe I didn't get this movie but I thought it was supposed to be a comedy. I saw the trailer on the DVD and I thought that’s it was supposed to be. I'm not sure if I would suggest this movie or not. Please see what you think at your own risk. Fritz ;) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
