Ana de Armas plays a playful wife. How can it not pass the time? In the age of ethical non-monogamy, not as shocking as this would have been say a decade or twenty years ago. Ben Affleck's character is brooding and a ticking timebomb. But it's all about Ana de Armas. I'm so biased.

Either erotic thrillers are enjoyable nonetheless of its unappealing flaws or they're just that bad altogether. Aged, careless direction over the nonsensical plot decidedly losing its edge early on, deserting their characters which therefore position its main pair's beneficial caliber in aimless forms. (C)

Both Affleck and de Armas are amazing in this movie. I understand why some don't like this movie, but I found it extremely captivating. A lot is left to the readers' imagination, but I found this movie amazing.

A throwback to the erotic thrillers of the 90s. It isn't really "good" (Affleck gives a barely conscious performance and almost nothing that occurs makes any kind of sense) but that is part of the charm of these kinds of movies. Also, it does seem a little unfair and slightly suspicious that Adrian Lyne's return to directing after a 20 year hiatus with two big movie stars was unceremoniously dumped on a streaming platform. I'm sure that the quality of this movie wasn't really the issue but rather the content which doesn't really gel with the brand of 20th Century Fox's new parent company.
