Audience Member A sentimental courtroom drama about a father-daughter relationship. Ending was intelligent. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member A sentimental courtroom drama about a father-daughter relationship. Ending was intelligent. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member My Rating: 4/5 stars; Grade: B+; Gesture: One Thumb Up; Status: Fairly Better (Fresh); Emoticon: :-). Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A simple movie which comes with a strong relationship between a father and a daughter. Chiyan Vikram was outstanding in his performance, and I must say its one of his best in Career. His acting was simply superb. Vikram's acting + amazing BGM makes everyone weep in the Theater. The locations and songs were also good. The cutie who played as Vikram's daughter was so nice. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Obviously modeled on the American movie "I Am Sam". While nowhere near as effective as the film it is based on, "Deiva Thirumagal" has it's own charm and a few segments, especially the cinematic interpretation of the stories Krishna tells his daughter, which rise above the ordinary competence of the rest of the film. Sara Arjun, playing Krishna's daughter, is a beautiful and talented little girl who easily holds her own against the veteran cast. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A father is mentally challenged. Shares a magical relationship with his daughter. The world tears them apart. A court case follows. His unconditional love wins. This is a story so common that it turns the interest off in the rational and harsh critic. Also, there is the fact that it is almost a remake of a Hollywood film. But that is about the maximum negative points that are seen in this film. Indian films are notorious for their heavy overdose of sentiments and tears. But here, it may even turn out that the tears are actually shed by the viewer. The director, music composer and the actors make this seemingly well trodden path into a beautiful heavenly staircase of sorts. Chiyaan Vikram deserves kudos for another great act. It is National Award worthy. But without Baby Sara, the subject of the movie, it would have been no movie at all. The tender scenes between her and Vikram raise quite a few goosebumps and make quite a few tears flow. The rest of the cast do justice to their roles to put it straight. Santanam and Anushka are quite restrained and within their limits. G.V.Prakash Kumar's score is mesmerising. He has created the same effect that monty sharma's score created in Black. His score gives a large share of emotional prowess to the film. Director Vijay has done his best job yet. He has followed his heart while crafting this movie and not his mind, which works like magic. To conclude, please watch this one if you want to see beauty in bounties. Brilliance all over. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
