This is true of the repulsive delicious, that revels in its sadistic intentions and ultimately fails to deliver on on that promise. It may claim to be one of the more shocking films, but I beg to differ. Go to Full Review

Delicious is a film that has the ingredients for a great psychological thriller -- beautiful setting, a mysterious stranger, a rich family harbouring secrets -- but it fails to combine them into anything satisfying. Go to Full Review

It plays like pastiche, but one that’s hard to look away from, the darker, humorless B-side of “White Lotus” on a lo-fi budget. Go to Full Review

While Delicious borrows its central idea from other films, the increasing dread of the situations creates uncomfortable interactions that lead to grotesque consequences that emotionally and intellectually conflict with the beauty of the shots. Go to Full Review

The first half of this thriller is compelling, and it feels like it could be a deliciously slow buildup to a gripping finale, but sadly this isn't the case. Go to Full Review

Luis D @MasterLobo Mar 7 I don’t care that the movie directs the viewer’s sympathy towards a rich family and away from the "poor girl". That’s fine with me. The movie fails for another reason. The movie does not give a valid justification for its brutal and unexpected ending. Also, the attempt to dress an absurd story in clothes of an art house psychological drama failed miserably simply because the finale is definitely unartistic. See more Andrew S @agsmart Jan 1 Delicious would have worked well as a taut, engaging psychological drama, with some great performances and striking photography. Why did they have to spoil it by introducing a silly vampire sub-plot? See more M D @RT82513945 Aug 18 Terrible plot that went nowhere. So many unanswered questions. See more C T @RT96004649 Jul 17 "Delicious" is a bit plodding, but the central mystery of it is well-executed. The actress in the lead role is mesmerizing. It's not the most original or creative subject matter, but kept my attention in an odd way. See more Rudy A @RT31870702 Jul 14 I can only guess that someone imagined this excruciatingly boring tale about a cannibalistic French hotel staff and a vacationing German family had something to say worthwhile to say about politics or class. They were wrong. See more Read all reviews
