Kate Muir Times (UK) The problem is that most of the high drama takes place secondhand on grainy war video and the domestic story is rather flat. Rated: 2/5 Aug 8, 2014 Full Review Leslie Felperin Guardian Insult is added to injury by the discordant piano plinking away in the background like a Brazilian telenovela soundtrack, and the sub-audible whispering meant to suggest the heroine's tortured thoughts. Rated: 1/5 Jul 31, 2014 Full Review Sophie Monks Kaufman Little White Lies Hammy dialogue mars this earnest rural melodrama of a woman fleeing from war. Rated: 2/5 Jul 31, 2014 Full Review Daniel Green CineVue There are a number of grating directorial decisions that almost lead Delight down the garden path and into the fathoms of the unwatchable, including an incredibly repetitive score and some unbelievably on-the-nose dialogue. Rated: 2/5 Apr 3, 2019 Full Review Andrew Lowry Total Film The low budget shows in some variable acting (Balibar is great, though) and there is some clumsy dialogue, but writer/director Gareth Jones does deserve some credit for ambition.
