Kristy Strouse Film Inquiry There are narrative aspects that are inventive, but unfortunately, the movie overextends its grasp. Aug 2, 2019 Full Review Andrea Beach Common Sense Media Predictable horror-thriller has some gore, strong language. Rated: 2/5 Sep 12, 2018 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation A good-looking thriller with barely a fright in it. Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 5, 2018 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews An often extraordinarily tedious horror effort... Rated: 1.5/4 Jun 10, 2018 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com Dull take on encroaching madness and single location hellraising, rendered incomplete by choppy storytelling and an overall drowsiness that makes it difficult to maintain patience with 90 minutes of routine frights. Audience Member Clever unreliable narrator story. Had me wondering what was real along with him the whole movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/10/24 Full Review Tibor F Absolute, utmost, unfollowable trash. A visual chewing gum, with zero taste. Complete waste of time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/22/24 Full Review Grimm R Delirium is a horror mystery that follows Topher Grace as Tom, after being released from a psychiatric hospital, he comes into inheritance when his parents die. While on house arrest, and after a series of mysterious events, Tom comes to the conclusion that the house his parents left him is haunted. I honestly had no idea what to expect from this movie going into it. I just knew it was a psychological horror movie with Topher Grace and the only other role I saw him in was Eddie Brock in Spider-Man 3. I will start off by saying his performance in this film is what really carries the movie as he seems likable and charming. This movie is a slow burn type of horror where little things happen and then the big twist towards the end is the part to stay for and I will admit that this movie does drag and the little horror elements feel cheap and weren't executed well. But there are some gorey visuals and I did enjoy the little things that we'd learn about Tom, his family, and why he was in the hospital and those little details really make the payoff towards the end much better and so as I think this movie does have problems with how they used the horror and really holding back on using it to elevate the story, the actual story itself is pretty good and I have to give this movie a C+. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Audience Member Tom's been in a mental institution, and when's he's released to his haunted family home, things begin to come out about the family history. Daddy had mom captive in the basement and big brother's a killer. But, mixed with mental issues and 'needing his pills' - you're not really sure what's reality or what is in his head. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow. I went into this movie expecting little and boy was I pleasantly surprised. I don't know how I never knew this movie existed until now but this is a great movie. It's so good compared to most of the trash that comes out. Why are so many other Blumhouse movies marketed and receive so much fanfare but I heard nothing about this movie?! Forget the Annabelle movies, why wasn't this marketed to all hell?! This is the best Blumhouse movie I've seen so far. It's not perfect but it's a great movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Contrary to many of the reviews left, Delirium brought a huge turn of events in a thriller-packed movie. A twist on many other recent horror-thrillers that keeps audiences on their toes and constantly has us at the edge of our seats. Quite refreshing to see a director taking a different approach to scaring its viewers. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
