Nick O'Brien is the hard-drinking leader of the Regulators, an elite unit of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Ray Merrimen is the recently paroled leader of the Outlaws, a gang of ex-military men who use their expertise and tactical skills to evade the law. O'Brien, Merrimen and their crews soon find themselves on a direct collision course as the criminals hatch an elaborate plan for a seemingly impossible heist -- the city's Federal Reserve Bank.

Den of Thieves desperately wants to be Heat or The Killer when it grows up. Instead it's a daft, distant, drunken cousin to those pictures, but if you studiously avoid thinking about it, you can at least enjoy its moronic antics.

The complete lack of likeable characters is a problem for a heist movie - in this struggle between violent criminals and corrupt cops, we don't particularly care who wins.

Not for me. All the characters were more unlikable than the next. Tough talking no nonsense men that come off as ridiculous. I found what action there was as being quite tedious. I just did not care.

Terrible character development, I didn't care about any of them. The moments that were supposed to be tense were boring. The only tense moment was when the main cop guy went to sign the divorce papers, which had nothing to do with the heist. Skip it

Den of thieves is one of the best hiest movies since Ocean's 11. This movie is really good. Gerad Butler is great like always and O'Shea Jackson Jr. Is great as well. The dynamic between the cops and the outlaws is great love the suspense. There is a point in time in the movie you want the outlaws to succed in robbing the federal reserve but you also want them to get caught at the end. The ending has a good twist that you don't see coming at least i did not. And that is why i'm putting it as one of the best hiest films. Geard does a great job at someone who made a huge mistake and is regretting it. The emotional scene after he sees his youngest daughter at school was well done. This is a great movie. The acting, directing, action and suspense is awesome in this movie. If you have not seen this movie then I recommend you do
