Mexican-American and queer, high school student Javier doesn't exactly fit in with the popular kids. But he might be the only one who can save them. After an act of bullying sends Javier to the hospital, he begins experiencing visions that foresee glimpses of shocking murders at his school right before they happen. Now, in between navigating the social hierarchies and prejudices of clique culture, Javier (Primo's Ignacio Diaz-Silverio) and his best friend Bianca (Candyman's Ireon Roach) must try to unmask a serial killer before he strikes again.

It was your average slasher movie. The acting could’ve been better and same with the realism for example a high schooler was vaping in school throughout the whole movie as if it was allowed however that doesn’t really happen. It was also way too predictable.

This movie was so fun! I loved the comedy elements that were brought to this bloody and suspenseful slasher. I especially dug the story telling of what it's like to be queer in high school and the topics covered around bullying and not outing a teen who's still trying to find themself. Check this one out!

While there are a few mistakes, this unexpected slasher is worth checking out. The writing in "Departing Seniors" is a bit all over the place, but the awesome concept and new viewpoint still make the slasher film enjoyable.

What a blast. This has such a nice balance of horror and comedy that it allows some of the nostalgia and underlying themes of friendship, and betrayal to really shine. Departing Seniors will definitely be in my annual October rotation. I can't wait to share with my kid as he gets older. Great way to introduce the slasher esque genre to a growing horror fan. Saw this in theaters and just loved how involved the crowd got.
