Sam Fun but suspenseful. Great new character with lots of possibilities. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/10/23 Full Review trev c If you haven't watched it then don't waste your time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review Kristin F What a disappointment. With a great looking Boogeyman and the great Tony Todd, I hoped for much better. The acting was atrocious. The editing seemed almost skipped entirely. The dialogue was terrible. A knock off Candyman with Tony Todd. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/13/23 Full Review Bryanne D Watching this was like watching the horror version of a lifetime movie. Insulting to history, Haitians, and everyone in general. The ending made it so much worse as it was extremely unsatisfying. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/03/23 Full Review Anne Marie H Even for a B movie, this was pretty bad. I understand people work on a budget but watching clips on how to deal with crime scenes and victims in a hospital is free on youtube. I didn't recognise Tony Todd due to the lackluster preformance he put on but I guess he was working with what he had. I will however say I did enjoy the costume and make up for Devilreaux Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/01/23 Full Review s B I read some of the critic reviews before I saw this film and they seem to be looking for an Oscar winning performance in the horror genre! We all know that's not what this film is about. This is one of the best horror movies I've seen this year! I say that because it looks like it was made without the budget of all the big Hollywood films out there and it felt genuinely real and not fake. I loved the parts where the teens play the game and stuff starts getting real! I was scared when I saw the ghost shadow in the stairway. The flash back parts were good but I wish I saw more Tony Todd in the movie. Maybe have Devilreaux go back in time and actually save him in the next one. I would have liked to have seen Devilreaux talk in the film too but maybe that they had him not speak to add to the mystery. Overall, it was a great experience watching this film on VOD. I heard it was in some theaters but not in my area. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media Suffering mightily from its small budget, questionable performances, odd dialogue exchanges, and a general lack of suspense or direction, this supposed horror movie is laughable but also mostly dull. Rated: 1/5 Jul 1, 2023 Full Review James Verniere Boston Herald A Candyman knockoff with Candyman himself Tony Todd. But it is not worth watching. Rated: C Jun 9, 2023 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru A tedious, anemic and lackluster B-movie that's low on scares, thrills and surprises. Jun 9, 2023 Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat With its cheap aesthetic, atrocious acting, insipid screenplay, and flat direction, Devilreaux is an embarrassment to all involved.
