      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Overly familiar and a bit too reliant on slapstick, the sitcom-like Dog Days fails to improve upon previous installments and will likely appeal to few outside its target audience.

Dev N It's alright. Pretty solid but not as goated as Rodrick rules. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/29/24 Full Review Mason V i'm so happy that they kept the actors. if not, i wouldn't like this movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/28/24 Full Review Jorge M almost watched the bad wimpy kid movie Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/08/24 Full Review estique l i love this trilogy rodrick is the goat so many good memories from watching this movie as a kid Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/18/23 Full Review Scott C While it does leave a bit to be desired, overall a PROPER satisfying conclusion to the live-action trilogy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/08/23 Full Review BoyofPlenty Hot take: this is better than Rodrick Rules The humor clicked better, and aside from the beginning the movie leaned away from the gross humor more than the other two. Greg's relationship with his father is also the most nuanced and complex of the three main relationships of the trilogy. The growth the two go through and the lengths they go to bond and spend time with each other is touching in a way that I never felt when Greg interacted with Rowley and Rodrick in their respective films. Also, Greg making mistakes does not make him a bad person or a bad main character, it makes him a complex and very human character, a rare feat in cinema these days.
