I don't know if I can call it courage that she is blinded, at first sight, by some guy from the tribe, and decided to stay with him in that place, the middle of nowhere. Of course, as I assumed, these are two different worlds ...... See more 10/11/2012 The "info" writer did not describe this movie adequately. First of all, her name is Carola, his name is Lemalian. And, how can he be characterized as "illiterate" when he speaks and understands English perfectly, and also understands German!!! He may not read, but he is hardly illiterate. The story was compelling, the acting exemplary. An unusual movie about love. Cross-cultural relationships are harder than same-culture relationships...and how many of the latter survive? It is a moving and fascinating movie. Watch and learn. See more 08/25/2012 The film reflects on how difficult it is when two people who belong to different cultures and civilizations fall in love. The story is really beutifully thought trough and presented. Also, the scenary and the african nature complete the movie perfectly.
