Justin Lowe The Hollywood Reporter 03/27/2017
As much a coming-of-age tale as it is a cautionary one, Adams' feature does a credible job building suspense, but never really delivers on the horror scares that early scenes telegraph. Go to Full Review

Dig Two Graves makes some pretty nifty transitions from the 1940s to the 1970s, including one seemingly unbroken shot. Every trip to the past reveals something about the "present-day" journey. Go to Full Review

An uncommonly smart, well-made and ultimately touching meditation on grief, revenge and the ordinary perils of adolescence that should resonate strongly with adults and thoughtful teenagers alike. Go to Full Review

Dig Two Graves is a solid horror joint full of atmospheric tension and enough peculiarities to set it apart. Go to Full Review
Steven Prokopy Third Coast Review 05/05/2020
It doesn't quite come together the way it it should to be looked at as a serviceable piece of low-grade creepy filmmaking or a worthy mystery. It's a close call, but it's not quite worth recommending outside of Levine's performance. Go to Full Review

Dig Two Graves is one of those films that are not bad but not great either. It's not all that entertaining, but it's not actually boring. It's one of those films that are difficult to review as it falls pretty flat down the center of entertainment. Go to Full Review

Gareth v 06/21/2023 A mysterious tale of revenge, with a supernatural slant that has is flaws but on the whole is well made on it's limited budget. See more 11/15/2020 Technically, the cinematography and shot framing are really good. Movie is lacking though. See more 11/17/2018 The ending killed it for me. Basically what you saw was a rapist, murdering cop live a nice long life with narry a consequence for his actions. Oh but no. He confesses to his granddaughter that he felt guilty about it for all these years. Oh boo hoo hoo. See more @c0urtn3y 06/03/2018 i remember seeing this one before & not super liking it, but i didn't mind it the 2nd time through. See more 03/14/2018 incredibly boring story centered around two racist rapist cops that murder an entire family and I guess youre supposed to like them See more 02/05/2018 Well, this was a cool surprise. A unique and provocative thriller about rising above the sins of the past, it's slightly heightened yet familiar, like a surreal nightmare. Imagine the otherworldly evil of The Witch thrown into the realistic American heart of It, but without any of the blatant horror of either. Even with the unwieldy storytelling, it's a beautifully gothic and creepy indie, hiding within the bowels of Netflix like a deep dark secret in a family tree. See more Read all reviews
