Audience Member One of the best movies I have ever seen😭😭😭 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is totally overrated because SSR was there and nothing else is in the movie Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I haven't read The Fault in Our Stars yet. The book is literally lying in front of me as I'm writing this review, but I can't read it until I've finished my current book (India 2020, in case you're curious). I've heard praises about the book a lot, so I do believe it's gonna be something good. That feeling really took a new height after watching Dil Bechara. It was really nice of Disney+ Hotstar to make this film free after his tragic demise. I had been a fan of Sushant Singh Rajput even while he was alive, so obviously his last film was supposed to matter a lot to me. Sadly he ended it all with a remake. Dil Bechara is set in Jamshedpur, which is my maternal side's town. Although the location sympathy doesn't work with me since I live in Delhi and almost every other Bollywood film is shot there. This is a story about Kizie Basu who is a cancer patient and carries an oxygen bag with herself, which she has named Pushpinder. She meets another cancer patient named Immanuel Rajkumar, and both of them become friends because they're both fans of Rajinikanth films. There are a lot of things that I like about this film. The establishing shots make it clear that this is going to be a great film. The locations and colour palette are also very nice, and the acting is phenomenal The characters are also very well established, especially Kizie when she is introduced to be someone who randomly goes to funerals and comforts the families over there. This is something which is really important to the plot. Another thing that really bonds the story very well is their search for finding Abhimanyu Veer and asking him why he didn't complete his song. In the end seeing Immanuel die was also a very emotional part, and I'd be really surprised if someone didn't cry on it. What I didn't like, however, is the logic behind everything. Suppose you have a daughter who is your only child. So why will you let just random urchin come in her room from the window and spend a night with her? Will you encourage him to do this and call him for dinner and let him insult your whole family and even take him to Paris with yourself, or will you grab a broom and drive him out of the house? Also what are the odds of every single person being disabled in this? Saif Ali Khan's role as Abhimanyu Veer was also very terrible. The whole time he was supposed to act serious but he was sounding very comedic. Although I liked this film, I don't think I'd want to see it again. All the emotions that it makes you feel can only be felt when you see it the first time. It's really sad that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer between us, and the last film he ever came in was a Bollywood remake. And even worse, he died thinking no one cares about him. He will never know how much people liked this film, especially him in this. May his legacy live on forever. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A class movie , must watch everyone Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie is getting you bored this movie plot is just matched by the old Bollywood movie Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se (1978) role played by Sachin and Ranjita Kaur. The acting of Sushant Singh Rajput is so ordinary. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Must see... It's a great masterpiece and tribute of SSR. This movie os love, love and love..... Highly recommended 👍 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Namrata Joshi Silverscreen India The film, in which the lead characters are themselves seeking answers about the incompleteness of life, offers a heavy-hearted sense of reconciliation... Sep 21, 2020 Full Review Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express It is the occasional sweetness that Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi Sanghi manage to rustle up that carries the film. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 27, 2020 Full Review Udita Jhunjhunwala Scroll.in Saif Ali Khan's special appearance sharply reiterates the impact of a void left by sudden loss. Jul 27, 2020 Full Review Musanna Ahmed Film Inquiry The film independently works well to provide humour, poignancy, and catchy music, but much of your enjoyment will depend on if you cared for John Green's story the first time around. Aug 15, 2020 Full Review Hannah Rachel Abraham Cultured Vultures Sushant's final on-screen appearance shines because of him and not much else. On the whole, an average watch and certainly not comparable to the original. Rated: 6.5/10 Aug 12, 2020 Full Review Aarti Jhurani The National (UAE) This short (at least by Bollywood standards at 100 minutes) and sweet story is worth a watch for the myriad characters, including an appearance by Saif Ali Khan.
