      Critics Consensus

Returning to their seemingly bottomless well of flatulence humor, racial stereotypes, and stale pop culture gags, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer have produced what is arguably their worst Movie yet.

Kyle E Amazing cinematic masterpiece. I'm in awe. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/07/24 Full Review Shane K This movie is like if the 2018 edition of YouTube Rewind were made into a movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/19/24 Full Review Joshua H Calling this movie a "disaster" would be an understatement, jokes and references to things most people won't get along with annoying characters, disaster movie feels like something a juvenile with an awful taste in potty humor came up with. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/13/24 Full Review Arthur B Muito bom nota 00000000,0 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/05/24 Full Review Eyeball D my fav movie ppl have no sense of humor lol Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Ewan L This movie is an absolute masterpiece and will forever be a staple of cinema history. All other movies pale in comparison to this. Every movie I will ever see after seeing this will not be satisfying because it will not be Disaster Movie and it will not be as good as anything that the directors and crew of Disaster Movie has ever produced. The scene where Kim Kardashian gets crushed by a meteorite is the perfect example of amazing comedy. This film is an absolute must see and everyone who hasn't watched it should either watch it or be executed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Roger Moore Orlando Sentinel Disaster Movie is the latest and most slap-dash of the movie parodies to atrophy out of the Scary Movie franchise. Rated: 1/5 Jun 14, 2013 Full Review Josh Rosenblatt Austin Chronicle There's no nice way to say this, so I'll just say it: Writer/directors Friedberg and Seltzer are a scourge. They're a plague on our cinematic landscape, a national shame, a danger to our culture. Rated: 0/5 Jun 14, 2013 Full Review Jim Schembri The Age (Australia) A dumb, dumb film, to be sure, but also undeniably funny in more spots than a right-thinking, mature adult person feels comfortable admitting. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 10, 2008 Full Review Micheal Compton Bowling Green Daily News Nothing more than a 90-minute barrage of unfunny jokes without the hindrance of a pesky plot or character development to get in the way. Rated: F Oct 16, 2019 Full Review Jamie Russell Radio Times Depressingly, these magpie parodies are so cheap to produce they can't fail to make money -- which probably means this interminable franchise is far from over. Rated: 1/5 Jul 16, 2014 Full Review Serena Donadoni Baltimore City Paper Deflating these images only works when they've overstayed their welcome in the cultural landscape, and making fun of the rejects doesn't have the same punch.
