David Stratton The Australian Despite its modest trappings, it provides some effective drama as matters move towards a potentially violent climax. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 8, 2021 Full Review Jane Freebury Jane Freebury Compelling drama about parenting and how it can get in the way of friendship, that is underwritten by a thoughtful, nuanced script and brought to life by an impressive ensemble Rated: 4/5 Sep 26, 2021 Full Review Peter Gray The AU Review An unbearably tense and all-too raw drama that leans into the notion that adults can still very much act like children when provoked. Rated: 4/5 Sep 19, 2021 Full Review Andiee Paviour Nobody's Reading This But Me The gulf between appearance and reality is the central paradox of a punchy Australian onion peeler Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 14, 2021 Full Review Anthony Morris ScreenHub There have been plenty of films about bickering couples trapped in a small space over the years. Few of them have pulled it off as well as Disclosure. Rated: 4/5 Apr 13, 2021 Full Review Jim Schembri jimschembri.com In lesser hands Disclosure could have been a pompous, prolonged shouting match replete with virtue-signalling and woke-speak. Thankfully, director Michael Bentham has fashioned a far more nuanced, insightful and captivating clashing of wills and truths. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 5, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

David J Intense. Great writing, good acting, well filmed. The theme is painfully realistic and on point. Well done all. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Having lived the reality of being a parent confronting one child's seriously harmful sexual behavior toward another, I just want to say that this movie is devastatingly realistic. This does happen in real life and it is just as complicated, difficult, and quite often just as nasty as the film portrays. The lavish setting and journalist/politician dynamic may be cinematic drama, but the reactions of parents in this situation need no dramatic enhancement. To set the record straight on a few common misconceptions: Being sexually assaulted by another child is every bit as traumatizing as being sexually assaulted by an adult. An "allegation" by a four year old needs to be believed. The act described in this movie was clearly not "just playing doctor." Harmful sexual behavior in children is NOT pedophilia and does NOT indicate that the child will continue offending sexually into adulthood. But it does need to be confronted including treatment by a qualified professional. Approximately 1/3 of child sexual trauma is inflicted by another child or teen. Adults need to be aware of this so they can take steps to prevent it, talk to children about it, and believe children who report it. This movie is a very well-done step in that direction. It is art at its best, conveying a truth that would be difficult to see any other way. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it! Disturbing themes confidently handled to make you squirm but understand you're watching something really important. Incredible acting. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A very carefully scripted and nuanced movie - or rather, it feels more like a sketch or play: it essentially involves only four actors. A 4-yr-old girl accuses a 9-yr-old boy of molesting her. But is she telling the truth? The father of the boy would face political ruin if the allegations came out. Both couples have pornographic materials (of different nature) lying about that could potentially have been accessible to their children. The movie shows the emotional struggles of the parents in dealing with the crisis from opposite points of view - and the gloves gradually come off as past secrets and current perversions are revealed.
