avner k A good movie loses its focus and indulgently stretches by one hour. There was much to enjoy, but in the end, I felt abused. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/27/24 Full Review Sergiu A A movie without a begining or end. Nothing really happened. Half of the screentime it was the main actor in her car driving, chewing gum and swearing other drivers. Barry Hertz Globe and Mail Jude can barely control his ain’t-I-a-stinker glee. Yet it all works, with its many preoccupations, culminating in an epic, wild ride whose presumed destination is hell itself. Apr 18, 2024 Full Review Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle Jude drops the sometimes overly broad comedy of the first two hours for something more acerbic, angry, and intriguing. Rated: 3/5 Apr 4, 2024 Full Review Philip De Semlyen Time Out Take a wild road trip through late capitalism with this irreverent, audacious Romanian satire. Rated: 4/5 Apr 1, 2024 Full Review Stephen Silver Splice Today Nearly three hours long and doing many things at once, a film like this will test some people’s patience, but I was delighted by it. Rated: 4.5/5 Apr 26, 2024 Full Review Alison Gillmor Winnipeg Free Press Garland, likewise, is testing the limits of the war genre. He gives us the immediacy and awfulness of its violence, but he leaves us to navigate the narrative's implied political and moral complexities on our own. Rated: 4/5 Apr 20, 2024 Full Review Walter Chaw Film Freak Central As excruciating an autopsy of the state of truth and our commensurate lack of faith in objective documents as any I’ve ever seen...
