Carla Hay Culture Mix The filmmakers of Do Not Reply must think that Lifetime hasn't made enough 'women in peril' movies where the killer has a thing for targeting cheerleaders ... Do Not Reply is irredeemable garbage. Oct 23, 2020 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media Intended as a cautionary tale with a message, this grim, unpleasant thriller is too close to raw exploitation to take seriously; all that remains is a picture of cruel abuse and victimized women. Hope S Ngl it was pretty good Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie felt like it could've been on lifetime because of how safe it felt and how bland the acting was. It had a good plot and kept me entertained til the end. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member The whole movie felt more like a poorly directed episode of criminal minds than an actual horror movie. I get that it's supposed to portray a message, but the whole thing felt gimmicky enough to be a cheap and poorly written slasher film. Reminiscent of Meghan is Missing but without the realistic aspects. "Brad"s backstory (if that's even what it's supposed to be) was bare minimum childhood trauma and I couldn't read all of his prescriptions, but Oxycodone is a pain killer and it looked like it was all that. I sort of see what the film was going for, but this isn't a horror movie. It's also really tiring seeing the antagonist target cheerleaders and blondes/ having a thing for cheerleaders/blondes. The only time I got scared or felt uneasy during this whole movie was when the ketchup bottle squirted, though to be fair I'm an avid horror movie watcher and have a pretty strong stomach for stuff like rats getting caught in traps and girls getting stabbed at aimlessly by a man with a kitchen knife. I gave it a star and a half though because even though the plot was all over the place the ending did put a bit of a pit in my stomach and the shots were overall pretty nice to look at framing and color-wise. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member It's not a bad movie but it's not a good movie either because it's been done before. The bad guy is very mediocre and not a good actor. The girls do a good job of acting especially compared to him. The writing could definitely have been better and it's clearly low budget when it comes to the blood. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review daniel n Though tedious at times, this movie does bring a bit of suspense here and there and captures well how all humans just crave a little attention. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member pretty good, very heart racing though, but a good movie! i really like movies like this, Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
