DanTheMan 2 As someone who doesn't really like a lot of modern B-movies, Don't Kill It is surprisingly one of the better ones I've seen, granted it was automatically going to win points simply for having Dolph Lundgren as a demon hunter who wears a duster hat. It's perfectly self-aware and even when the film veers toward the ordinary, Lundgren is there with his lived-in face and playful eyes, waiting as ever to spring into action. It's a return to 80s splatter fest horror movies, with minimal scares but plenty of blood, guts and gore-soaked laughs. Its tongue planted firmly within its cheek and doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't, Don't Kill It sees not just Lundgren having fun with his role, but plenty of DIY insanity that feels very much in the realm of early Sam Raimi. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Liam D An absolutely insane ride with Dolph Lundgren (Silent Trigger, Skin Trade) best performance Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/25/22 Full Review Audience Member Dolph Lundgren plays Jebediah, a rough and tough hombre who's hunting an ancient demon that was inadvertently set loose where it inhabits a host body and that host becomes deadly. Once killed it inhabits the person who killed its previous host. So he reluctantly teams with an FBI agent played by Kristina Klebbe to try to capture it and lock it away. Pretty fun action/horror with plenty of carnage and Lundgren charm. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Not sure why top critics think it's fresh, I'm with the audience; it's stings. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member So yea...terrible. But Dolph Lundgren!!! The script may have been written by my 12 year old niece, the effects created by her 8 year old brother, and the directing could have been accomplished by my long dead grandfather. It was...SO bad. Bad enough that I created an account to write my thoughts on the thing. You know how some movies are bad enough that dial goes past 'bad' on the scale and has enough horrible momentum to keep spinning back up to 'great'? This one just kept going until the dial fell off...but before it finally bit the dust, it hit 'gawd awful' one last time. That said: #DolphLundgrenForPresident #ThisGarbageNeedsASequel Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Never was a big fan of Dolph but he was great; he definitely carried the movie to a higher level. There were a lot of quirky characters in this movie contrasted to 2 dimensional personalities in most B movies. I don't consider this a B movie, though. Watchable and rewatchable.
