Emilliano Jr S Pretty decent horror with a few jump scares. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review Liam D A Standard Ghost Thriller nothing more nothing less Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/05/22 Full Review dave j Accomplished artist Jess (Katee Sackhoff) makes attempts to reunite with her biological daughter, Chloe (Lucy Boynton) only for to be shut down. And when Chloe spends time with her boyfriend daring her to urban myth. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member So before I get into this review I played the video hame based off this movie so I thought they would be kinda the same but nope not at all. This movie went the serious route and made it emotional. The game is pretty scary kinda. As a VR game it's terrifying and has great atmosphere. It has a terrible story. But this movie has none of that expect they share the terrible story. Now I kinda see what the makers were going for but it made no sense script wise. The main mom character played by Kattee Sackoff from the "totally iconic" Halloween resurrection aka the worst Halloween movie of all time. Anyway she's back for redemption to see if she can be in a good horror movie. She, herself is actually pretty good. She sells everything well and seems actually scared. Now for everybody else they seem scared but they sound very monotone and with barely an emotion. The atmosphere at times is pretty good but for the majority of the movie it gets pretty boring. Now for the comparison of the game. It has Easter eggs from the game and I of course marked out when I saw something or a hallway or even a door that was in the game. But besides that if you never played the game you would think this is another forgettable horror movie. It's bad but I enjoyed myself at times and I'm glad I played the game so I can appreciate this movie a little more. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/21 Full Review adam b Interesting idea of a mother adopting back her daughter after 9 years of putting her in foster care only to find her with a demon following her. But wow, how this was executed was BAD. Every twist was spoiled, there is too many plot devices and ideas thrown in to complicate the story, and well, let's not talk about the ending, shall we? David Parkinson Empire Magazine Although replete with creepy shocks, this lacks the narrative finesse to match the committed performances and slick visuals. Rated: 2/5 Mar 28, 2017 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com The actual horror and thriller aspects just don't gel together with any of the other elements, making James' latest genre effort a movie I respect multiple elements of even if I can't say I enjoyed near as much as I can't help but wish I did. Rated: 2.5/4 Feb 27, 2017 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter If it had skipped the clichd supernatural elements to instead concentrate on the relationship between the two central characters, Don't Knock Twice might have emerged as an interesting film. Feb 6, 2017 Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh Doesn't know whether it would rather be a B-movie full of fantastic scares or a dramatic thriller whose frightening scenes mirrored the tension the characters were experiencing. Rated: 3/5 May 12, 2023 Full Review Jordy Sirkin Jordy Reviews It Don't Knock Twice has a promising premise, but it fails to deliver the scares or draw in the viewer. Jan 2, 2021 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed he film turns out to a bit run of the mill for fans of the genre but should interest fans of Katee Sackhoff and the more casual genre viewers. It's entertaining enough and is an easy watch. Rated: 3/5 Apr 18, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
