The film mesmerized me, especially me and my friends in the 1970s. We were abused by our fathers, etc., and one other kid, like me, experienced far worse. The movie will be a trigger, but it is what rang true in an unsettling way for me. I have a stomach ache and headache now. But if someone reads this, your body is sending you a message. You may not have had an inkling of what happened to you before now, but you can't turn away from the buried truth.
