Director Micheal Bafaro co-wrote Don’t Look Away with actor Michael Mitton make a good team. Despite a low budget and obscure actors, they crafted a smart script that carries through with striking cinematography, effective music, and eerie sound design.

I like the idea of this film, but the style of it is out of date. It's as if the creators didn't realize that hipster culture is dead (thank God). Characters try to explain too much like "You've got big college plans, then we'll get married. It's all we've wanted!" And that's supposed to make us invested in characters. Too hipster and no character development equals watching cheezy people you're not worried about get terrorized.
