Brian Lloyd entertainment.ie It's always gratifying to find a horror movie that has the best of influences, and even more gratifying that it's an Irish crew of filmmakers that are making it all. David L Very strong acting, writing, and directing. I’ve seen this classified as horror but it isn’t, so don’t go into it expecting a horror movie. It does have a lot of tension which director Ian Hunt Duffy expertly builds to a good (not great) ending. My issue with the ending is just me being hypercritical. A really good (thriller?) movie you will have fun watching. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/31/25 Full Review Laura F Loved this, kept me gripped Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/08/25 Full Review Ree B It was ok, bit slow to start with. Got better at the end. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/26/25 Full Review Braden F Great watch for the first time, although the progression of the story happened way too fast, without revealing more hidden details, also leaving the story on a Cliffhanger, with no plan for a second movie, is kind of a tragedy, this would be a great movie to renew into a Show, that takes on a slower pacing, maybe adding more characters, a bigger facility, more trials that patients are forced to endure, after the few survivors make it through this trial, or have this be the ending Trial in the second season, and then a redemption ark, overall Double Blinds, was a 4/5 movie, still was missing many details. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/22/25 Full Review g j Genuinely harrowing and anxiety-inducing. A surprisingly original and effective film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/20/25 Full Review Tom L Another excellent Irish horror film. A group of volunteers is sequestered to test out a new drug by a shady drug company. Gradually things go south, and the group realizes they got more than they bargained for as the facility goes into lockdown leaving them alone. Then, the test subjects begin to die. The tension is ratcheted up, not only by the group’s attempts to stay alive and find a way out, but also by increasing paranoia, infighting, and a suspicion that one of the group is not who he claims. Solid script, direction, acting, sets, and music/sound design that all contribute to the atmosphere of dread and suspense. The ending is satisfying, if a little cliche.
