Dr. Seuss' beloved book tells the story of a reclusive Grinch who plotted from his cave atop snowy Mt. Crumpit to steal Christmas from the Whos in Who-ville. Then on Christmas Eve, disguised as Santa Claus and enlisting his loyal dog Max as a reindeer, the Grinch traveled to Who-ville to scoop up the Whos' gifts and decorations. Much to his surprise on Christmas morning, the Whos were unfazed and celebrated the holiday with a heartwarming display of joy and love.

This attempt at the heartwarming tale makes the Grinch's hatred of song and dance seem reasonable. Halfway through, you might find yourself advocating for the Whos to adopt his way of life. Go to Full Review

A pelvic-thrusting, bad-punning, screeching version of the green curmudgeon was not what anyone wanted or needed in 2020. Morrison did his level best -- he's a good performer, but the part simply never should have been written. Go to Full Review

What was most striking about the experience is that watching the show felt like the familiar slog of watching an awards show -- frequent commercial breaks that were a relief instead of a nuisance, time moving both faster and slower than it should. Go to Full Review

It was perfectly fine. Watching Denis O'Hare attempt to tone down his inherent intensity as an older version of The Grinch's beloved hench-dog was a trip, and Booboo Stewart was endearing as always playing O'Hare's younger counterpart. Go to Full Review
