Boc T We get a backstory of why the villain is going after Goku. What we don't get is someone snatching up the Dragon Balls early to wish for some kind of immortality. The previous movies just had some throwaway villain. The fight scenes were great, and the movie itself is well put together. Characters aren't forced to hold back due to badly written villains, and the plot is simplistic but we don't go in to these looking for complicated story lines. It is like a condensed version of the Freiza saga, taking the things that made that saga so memorable and delivering a faster paced revisit for fan service.
