Appreciated from a distance as an art-object it's kind of a fascinatingly weird, beautiful oddity - especially when they're done with the plot stuff and can just hit the 'montage' or 'battle scene' button (which is... often)

Based upon the fifth entry of the Dragon Quest franchise, although Your Story does showcases it colourful and vibrant visuals and animation, it does however suffers quite a lot of pacing issues and characters that didn't quite have time to develop. In addition, the ending is bound to leave a lot questions within its direction.

Loved it! So many callbacks to the game and a decent story that was fun to watch. One scene in particular gave me goosebumps both times I watched the show. So good.

Tries to be an analog to the game, but doesn't get there very well. Of course my biggest gripe for this movie is the main character wanted to go with Nera before entering the simulator of the game and is still forced to go with Bianca. Like why bother with even giving the choice or showing it when it didn't matter in the end when its revealed to be someone playing a game.
