Critics Consensus

While its impact is blunted by an overly reverential approach to its subject, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story remains a reasonably entertaining biopic of the martial arts legend.

Jason Scott Lee does his namesake proud in the title role, but the film tries to court too many different audiences, with lethal results. Go to Full Review

It is invariably ominous in any biopic if, toward the end of the running time, the hero complains of a headache. Go to Full Review

Best digested as entertainment that features reminders of Lee's philosophy, passions, and physical abilities, sold through a sensational lead performance from Jason Scott Lee. Go to Full Review

Kojo A Jul 13 this movie should have swept all the oscars best theme song, best actor , best actress best movie See more May 15 Jason Scott Lee and movie soundtrack deserved Oscar consideration. Entertaining, one of my all time favorites! See more Steven D Apr 20 As a huge Bruce Lee fan I like the movie. The actors portray the characters very well. Jason Scott Lee (not related to Bruce Lee) does a very admirable job portraying the Kung fu legend. While a good majority of the movie is somewhat accurate in portrayal of events, there is a bunch of made up for movie instances and an unnecessary supernatural premise that was not needed. They also left out a lot of details and Bruce Lee's philosophies and didn't go into his struggle to become a star quite enough or into his training and the stars he taught the martial arts. I like it, I recommend it, but I left a lot off the table here. See more Charles M Mar 21 I found it riveting. It's weird that I grew up loving Kato on the Green Hornet. He stole every scene. See more D P Mar 2 Meh. Anticlimactic. See more Kal-El O Jan 18 One of the most epic movies ever created! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ See more Read all reviews
