David F Jul 13 Charming movie which tilts more toward reality vs a typically Hollywood production. The part with the ‘Punch Buggy’ should make us all laugh to simpler days of our youth. Overall good writing about an Upstate man and moving forward in life. A part two filmed ten years later would be a good follow-up. See more 03/01/2011 Todd Giglio's "Drawing With Chalk" is something of a hand crafted, low budget, soaring, and deeply moving masterpiece. It brings us a familiar concept for a film, and converts it into an original, great looking, and unbelievably well acted experience. The characters are remarkably vivid, developed through out the film with warmth and honesty, played beautifully by the entire cast. The film is a true depiction of the aspects, good or bad, of life, the ways that you can choose to live, and the people that you share it with. For different people, the out come will spring different emotions, but I am quite sure that for the majority of viewers, that the out come of this picture will satisfy and move them unlike most other movies have before.
