Audience Member As a horror movie, this failed to come together to any kind of understandable conclusion. Various plot twists remained unresolved at the end. If the intention was to leave it to the imagination of the user, I failed that test. The first 20 minutes of the movie were well scripted, but after that it went rapidly downhill. The only positive might be the very explicit sex scenes - but you can find that kind of video for free all over the Internet. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Borderline soft porn. Lots of naked men and sex scenes. Storyline is sort of weak but all in all,it was okay for what it was. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Of Blood And Laundry seems to be a more apt title for Daniel Mansfield's Drink Me which turns out to be another example of erotica (just this side of full on gay porn) where the trailer is a FAR more interesting piece of film than the entire 77 minute movie. The promise of gay vampire seduction that is put forth in the trailer is all but dissolved in the first 20 tedious minutes of Drink Me. It takes this long to establish that James and Andy (the handsome Emmett Friel and the only sometimes engaging Darren Munn) are a couple in love, living together wanting to get married, but can't for the lame reason that Andy has lost his job (Who cares! if you can't afford the wedding you want, have the wedding you can afford! sheesh!!) Did I mention it took 20 minutes to get us here? Oh... and there's a laundry basket that keeps showing up in their kitchen, which is next to their laundry room... a place of significance in this movie, if you make it that far. At this point they decide the way to skirt budget problems is by taking in an all too self-consciously mysterious Lodger ("Ludger" - Chris Ellis Stanton) called Sebastian. So named because, aren't all vamps named Sebastian? Andy begins to have nightmares where he's bound in the woods and then there are other people... sometimes Sebastian, sometimes James sometimes both doing weird, sometimes erotic things to each other and Andy on occasion. The aftermath of these dreams seems to be the disapearance of people in the real world. This factor is never really explained or realized. The trouble with Drink me is, it all seems to be a dream with dreams within the dream happening for no discernable reason; unless it's the laundry basket in the kitchen. Gay Vamp fans will be disappointed in this feature as there is not a lot of "FANG BANG" action - no real bites on anyone's neck. There is some erotic blood action, but again it does not proceed from any plot point nor does it move the story or the audience in any significant way. It's just another dreamlike sequence in this film that is trying to tell its story with dreamlike sequences and a laundry basket. Finally, Drink Me is some overly mysterious mystery with no visible solution from start to finish and in the end is all just a lot of atmosphere; none of it breathable... and then there's the laundry basket. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Yup right, it sucks. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Mediocre acting (although a slightly better performance by Friel) with a bad script, poor continuity, and abysmal directing by Mansfield. There is a story, if you are willing to constantly fill in the gaps with your own imagination, but otherwise, important events come out of nowhere. This film could have been much better with a competent director, but as it is, it's little more than gay soft-core porn with a vampire fetish element. I would not recommend this film to anyone other than Chi Chi LaRue. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews
